Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2021 British Grand Prix

Räikkönen, Leclerc and Verstappen. I'm still a bit critical of Verstappen's aggression, but that's what it seems to take if you don't have the superior car. What did Verstappen do in the sixty seconds or so he was in the race to deserve driver of the day? Why, beat Hamilton, obviously. Didn't you n...

Who was at fault. Or was it a racing incident. And please be civil, I imagine the mods will not thank me for starting this thread if we are not. Pity there was not option for 'both'. I think a racing incident does not always mean 'no fault', sometimes it means both at fault. I think both Hamilton a...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2021 French Grand Prix

I think the teams were caught out by the tyre degradation and just how much faster it was to do a later pit stop or a second stop. So some drivers may have been looking like stars when really it was just better strategy. Yes, drivers often get credit for results that are not down to them. On this r...

Just thinking about Ricciardos age and the contract/driver market. If he can't get up to Landos current level this could be a career-ending move. I think the contract is through to 23 so the pressure isn't immediate but if next time Ricciardo is on the market he is 34 (I think) and has been spanked...

Crazy that I'm the only one who voted Verstappen. He was on it all day. Do we really think anyone would beat him today in the same car? I love how a 1 second gap to Perez is seen as a normal performance for Verstappen, it was the same in Spain. Verstappen has the highest standards on the grid That'...

Went with the flow but shout out to Ricciardo too, who finally had the measure of Norris, albeit in a less than spectacular weekend for McLaren. It is so hard to know. I was hoping for more options other than F1 teams. What would Bottas do if he is not in F1 I think it the question. One problem with leaving Mercedes, is there are few places where you have any chance of enjoying even close to the same success, and I do not see him at Red Bull etc. I wonder what his...

There is so much debate between those supporting Max and Lewis about who has the fastest car, yet it seems logical that Perez vs Bottas should figure strongly in determining which car is faster. So far, Bottas is outscoring Perez, and I do not thing Bottas is believe to be a substantially better dri...

I believe Lewis is moving to Racing Point (Aston Martin) next year because he's enjoying driving this years Mercedes so much. Although that's techically not possible, change of regs. ;) Yes, can't make an exact copy anymore. Besides, they would at least need to give his current car a new paint job.
