Re: Has any team ever fallen harder than Aston??

When they were Force India, they were pretty good.
When Stroll took over, you're right.
Didn't Stroll bought a previous year Mercedes car one time?

Re: Honda to quit F1 after 2021

Oh look, Honda is staying in IndyCar for the next 10 years.
And they are going to use V6 turbo hybird engines in 2023.

Re: 2015 Mexican GP Free Practice Thread

Remember, this track is 2200 meters above sea level. The air is thin and they are running almost full down force. At this altitude its the equivellent down force of Monza. Hamilton's 362kph is faster than Perez's top speed at Monza ( 354kph ). That's probably why everyone is skidding off the corners.

Re: New track record by Lewis Hamilton - Already!

flyboy is correct [EDIT: And VD!]; the lap record is the fastest race lap. The absolute record for COA is 1:35.657, also set by Sebastian Vettel in 2012. I'd be surprised if they dip below that in qualy this year; a more realistic benchmark to aim for is 1:36.338, which was pole for last year (2013...

So I guess when a car gets all four wheels over the line it will be investigated.
Like stated above. Its getting to the point of why not race on a massive air field with painted lines.

I hope Sauber turns it around somewhat. They never been shutout for the entire season before. Sauber's worse season was '99-'00 where they scored 5 & 6 points ( under the old piont system ).

Why don't they just shoot fireworks out of the back of the car during stops instead.

Re: Horner: Merc could win by two laps

In a way I hope Mercedes do win by two laps just to see Bernie throw a hissy fit.
Just like in 2004 when Bernie thought that the Ferrari. Mercedes and BMW engines were going to blow up in the first race.

How is Hungary doing btw? Financially that is... This used to be the closest GP to Austria so it kind of became almost a home-GP to us... with the GP back in Spielberg they might lose some fans over there... Doesn't Bernie or his associates own Hungaroring? yyyyyyyyyyyyyup! So Its not going anywher...

Yup, just another point and squirt street track. Re: Why didn't any top teams picked up Heinz Harald Frentzen

The rumor I heard - and I stress it was a rumor - for the sudden Jordan departure goes along the lines of HHF and EJ had an argument. HHF wanted the team to move in a certain direction, which involved spending money. EJ didn't want to spend the cash and told HHF that his sponsors needed to pay more...

Re: Did you know? Monza 2000 and Monza 2012

Qualifying was very different before the 2003 season. When qualifying cars had: 3 lap engines ( all they need was a flying lap) 3 lap gearboxes can set up the car for one flying lap. Also in 2000 was the start of the Bridgstone/Michelin tyre war. If I could remember the qualifying lap times in 2000 ...
