Re: Is Vettel at Aston Martin starting to look like Mansell at Mclaren in 95?
To be fair to mansell he must have been about 42 at the time and that car was a dog. Mika was established at the team and obviously one of fastest drivers f1 has seen. I think even a young mansell would have struggled against him. Vettel deserves half a season I think but the signs aren’t great, he’...

Re: Is bottas time up at Mercedes.
Bottas needs to go, for his own sake as well as Mercedes. He’s actually doing an ok job some of the time, well over one lap he’s great, but mentally he’s broken. He will never ever match Hamilton over season, if anything he’s falling further behind over race distances. I’m sure he could do a good jo...

] I never said that the stewards giving it the all clear made it legal - what made it legal was the fact it was clear what it did - there was no cloak and dagger going on. Re: Mercedes vs Red Bull - 2021
Merc slight edge in races, qualifying its hard to judge because Bottas is excellent over 1 lap (always has been) whilst Perez isn’t and is still new to the car. Even so Hamilton, barring his mistake in Imola (he got very lucky with bottas Russel tangle) is driving superbly and clearly relishing the ...

Re: 2020 Turkish Grand Prix Race Thread
How do we judge the Mercedes package in this race - lol. At times they were really poor. Bottas was poor the entire race. But after the inters were 'well worn' the Mercedes package found its window and was very strong. Big variability today in their performance. Honestly today it was 85% about the ...

Magnificent race and fantastic and timely reminder that it’s not all about the merc car! Hamilton truly is a fantastic champion and spoke very well after the race! One for experience and guile and showed his ability to adjust to changing conditions. Reason why he’s been at the sharp end for so long!...

We got a glimpse of what F1 would be like without DRS today. Far more entertaining than when DRS kicked in and the field spread like crazy. Crazy Perez is second on the podium and no drive next year Remove grip/downforce and hopefully we get more of this! Perez will surely have a drive next year, f...

This is shaping up rather nicely!
Stroll was done as soon as he moaned about his inters. Did well first half.
This is what you get when you remove the grip! Brundle is right!
Still not sure which way it will go.
Bottas has been awful!

Re: Is there any doubt anymore about Hamilton vs. Vettel?
Hamilton can take a less than great car and pull a performance out of it. Not all the time but more often than is to be expected. Alonso the same. Vettel can not, and when he tries to overdrive and push too hard he can’t and screws up. He is just not as good as Alonso and Hamilton. If Alonso was in ...

Hamilton has always been better. Never ever a doubt in my mind even when Vettel has the red bull champs he wasn’t up against a decent team mate until Danny ric and look what happened.
The real question is Hamilton v Alonso, they are head and shoulders above the rest, always have been.

All the experts, pundits, majority of fans all agree it was Nico. He didn't squeeze Lewis out he purposely drove on straight when he should have tried to make the corner. I think Verstappen could actually do it. A rare talent and more importantly has the winners mentality. Head says too soon to beat someone as quick Ricciardo but been so impressed with Flying Dutchman. His old man has done a great job equipping him to handle the piranha club.

This clock thing is pointless. They may as well go back to 1 lap shootout. It le preferable to this shambles.
