Re: Anyone believe Ferrari signed Hamilton because Charles is a disappointment?
Leclerc has shown in '22 that he can be a serious title contender if the car is good enough. This is absolutely true. It seems that the more competitive the car the better Leclerc is. I still have a feeling that he will be a choker if it goes down to the wire for some reason. But yeah, I think he c...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
How does those comments on drivers relate to car quality? Glad you are amused, but what is it exactly that you find so funny? I guess because it needs explaining what perhaps is obvious to most, I've explained it myself. The funny part actually, is that he doesn't need it explaining at all. F...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
I'm not sure how we've got here but I'd certainly say that being the last WDC for McLaren in an inferior car (which it unquestionably was) adds to Hamilton's legacy. Did the Ferrari really turn out to be that much better than the McLaren, or did Heikki Kovalainen fail to bring sufficient points in ...

Re: This Is Getting Ridiculous. Felipe Massa is Looking At Legal Options Over 2008 F1 Title Outcome.
I would say the essential difference is quite clear and significant; whatever there was to know in order to protest and appeal in 2021, was known on the day of the assumed wrong itself. Apart from what we don't know. Do please explain. I think it is this "we know what we know and we don't know what...

And this is not too different to 2021 when you compare what was done and how poorly each situation was handled. Why second best seat; the Redbull is the outright best seat at the moment. This is not the first time we are seeing this though; I remember the years of suffering through Barrichello/Kovalainen/Massa/Webber/Bottas when it was clear they had no chance of ever competing for the title against their do...

I don't know whether RB thinks like that - but if they did it would be a massive disapointment. Everyone and her daughter would have finished second. But the one time it counted - when Verstappen's car failed - he was nowhere. Seriously, it would be a travesty for the competitiveness of F1, if an o...

Sainz's only deserved move would be Red Bull as that team is still the best. But Checo is doing good enough to keep that seat his. Mercedes doesn't seem like the team to go but could again create wonders in 2026 with new regulations. Aston Martin is a good choice as McLaren isn't an option. Below A...

I agree with what you said about a video etc. However, there is nothing here in this case apart from what can be summed up as "mere allegations" from one side. Re: 2024 Japanese Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
From the start of the season Sauber have basically not been able to do pitstops properly. They have a new wheel gun design that keeps cross threading wheel nuts. For some reason this is unfixable. At the moment it's barely worth Sauber doing races as most of their stops take over 20 seconds. Hahaha...

Well, we recently learnt that the FIA president himself intervened in order to get an Aston Martin penalty overturned. Beyond this, I notice a tendency to be very lenient with those who are in a wdc/wcc fight - like the Vettel and the Verstappen example show IMO. We also had quick flags for Haas be...

Brundle rightly believes that Alonso's antic on Russell which caused damage to his Mercedes car & put him at risk as well, has burnt a bridge he was trying to make to Mercedes for the 2nd seat. Surely not another bridge burnt. Can't burn a bridge any worse than 2021 as a whole, much less the finale...

OK so you agree he's probably declined then. So why are you arguing against people saying exactly that? I would argue about the level of decline based on just 3 races, let's face it if Hamilton was beating Russell we wouldn't be having this conversation. :) I mean, that's a pretty obvious statement...

Missed that Alonso got a penalty til now. Very confused. Is the art of slowing down in a corner to reduce the car behind’s momentum dead? Or is it just stewards bashing Alonso for the sake of it again? Slowing down your rival is one thing, but Alonso behaved in an unpredictable and dangerous manner...

Sainz just upped his claim on the best seat available for 2025 with today's win in Australia. Not sure if that will be Merc, Aston Martin, or a long shot at RBR. RB should hire him. Evidently, he is the one who brings the win home if Verstappen can't. Verstappen / Sainz at Red Bull would ...
