Re: Hamilton/Verstappen British GP 2021 Collision Discussion

^ This is what confused me about Grosjean's one-race ban in 2012. The stewards would have been perfectly entitled, in my view, to give him this ban on the basis of repeat offences but the reason given, as I recall, was, colliding with championship contenders. It implied that, if he'd taken out the ...

In the Hungarian Grand Prix, Kimi had an unsafe pit release, where he took Mazepin out of the race as a consequence and continued in the race himself. Yeah in game I can get it though they're doing it to put them off. But I can't imagine Giannis going up to collect his MVP award and getting booed. Which is basically what happened Saturday it's not in the moment of the game. The games finished and the crowd are booing. Most sport fans at that poin...

A lot of armchair pundits on the interwebs are taking this as evidence that Valtteri won't be back after the summer break.... ...and after the massive crashfest that he caused on lap one. I don't see the point of booing when the contest is over. Football fans do it, I assume, to try to put their rivals off during the game, but when it's over? Pointless, unevolved behaviour IMNVHO Because there's always a next time It's a bit if a myth football fans do it to be fair. Football fans ma...

Did he break the rules, though? He made a mistake, but I don't think he broke any rules aside from the result of the mistake. I think Hamilton is saying he'd go for the move again given the same chance, and just hope to do it better next time. Fair point. He needs to clean up in that case or he'll ...

It is obviously possible that Verstappen wouldn't make the corner, but he didn't get the chance. It also feels irrelevant at the moment, not sure what does that prove. Is it reasonable to assume that Hamilton ran wide out of Copse because his car was briefly destabilised by the contact? I would imagine Max's car would be more of a door stop rather than a magnet?
