Merc are trying to get 2 people fired, i cant remember they guys name , but he brought in the rules to cut aero -- no way in hell will that person go, they do this to all the teams that have big advantages - even Ferrari.. So if Merc and hamilton are waiting for massi, i think hamilton has to quit b...

What is the point? Also a GPS is some 30m wrong and isn't as exact as people might think, that along with latency is a big problem. your tom tom might be a few meters out, but any motorsport datalogger with GPS is within 1 or 2 foot. Without the danger eliment sim racers will almost always be faster.

To benefit road cars the answer is simple ... 100kg of fuel, the rest is upto you, this would allow development in areas that couldbe more optimized than the current way of making a hybrid

Re: is there a regulation on lap-time for all circuits in F1
The Official reason was the fans at the trackside would only get to see the F1 cars go past about 20 times. they shortned the track not just for F1 but so other slower championships and club motorsport could use the track aswell.

Re: Is F1 going to ditch open wheels eventually?
If you want to watch super powerful, state of the art cars with a roof and closed wheels watch WEC!
F1 is not the technical pinnacle of Race cars any more, and is arguably not the pinnacle of race drivers anymore either.
If the cars become to similar to WEC, F1 would be finished as a series.

I quite like the idea Glasnost, there has to be a way of controlling costs, my only worry would be, for example Ferrari get the spare tokens from Haas as part of the engine deal so the extra cash would never be seen .

Ive been giving tuition this year to novice race drivers.
My first bit of advice i give then is, Once you get the breaking right, its much easier to take the correct line.
Im not sure that there is a "most important skill" each part of your driving reflects on to the next.

Im sure they can make loads of versions of the parts they want to upgrade, without using any tokens, then select the best bits for the actual race engines, that then use the tokens, so it could be a big step

If you create drag / dirty air , the car behind would get a better tow down the straights. Its easyer to make your car faster than slow down the competition, the dirty air solution would only be any good whilst the attacking car is behind you, after that you wouldnt be able to keep up
