Re: 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
What a joke - incompetence city - time to ban Las Vegas from ever holding another gp - they should pay the millions they have cost Ferrari and thus experiment must stop - a boring track and likely a boring gp - whoever authorised this from liberty should be sacked

Good to see Oscar effectively match Lando - just lost out with the safety car at Silverstone - apparently he was going to undercut Lando and come out in 2nd if the SC hadn't happened

Happy for Daniel - and hopefully AT can develop their car so it becomes more competitive - but even as a DR fan - it was tough on DeVries

Re: The Official Oscar Piastri Thread
I was surprised that Mr Winsor savaged Oscar in a recent article for rejecting a full time seat at Alpine and going for McLaren - Very poor journalism - for a start - Alpine let oscar's contract lapse - with just a verbal nod that they wanted some sort of relationship - it seemed clear at that time ...

The Aston seems quick but I’m pleasantly surprised by how well Stroll is doing given be must still be hampered by injuries- and closer than I’d have thought to Alonso even if there os some benefits to being in same team - impressive by Piastri too as he keeps improving session by session- there’s a ...

Re: The Official Oscar Piastri Thread
Piastri was as mentioned half a sec off Norris in qualifying - but with some mitigating factors and probably some nerves as well - but Norris only just scraped into Q2 even if he improved to get 11th - so could easily have started 16th. Then in the race - Piastri was doing well - a number of overtak...

Re: 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
Lando is seriously not being a team player - he got gifted a position by team telling Daniel to hold station in Melbourne when he was seconds a lap faster in last laps there - and he cost Daniel 5-12 seconds in first stint here - so probably cost them chance to be in front of Alonso and possibly Vet...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
Didn't agree with the decision by Masi - should have either let all cars through (which was the precedent) - in which case probably wouldn't go racing - or let none through and then would have had a few cars for Max to pass (with blue flags to help and no doubt not wanting to hinder) and probably a ...

Not sure what Daniel is doing - apparently corner 4 was the difference for him making Q3 - we know he's better than this - and is providing information to support Lando and McLaren improve - but hope DR gets his fairy cakes together soon

It's interesting what people say in terms of comparisons - Dolomite has given some context but what is missing is the extreme danger in the early days compared to now - The reality is that there was 10% chance of DYING every time a driver raced in the 50s - and many did - so to even survive (let alo...

DR was apparently McL first pick 2 yrs ago - but couldn't get him over line - while Sainz has done a great job - with a Merc engine next yr - is this a game changer - or will McL be compromised on integrating the engine in 2021 so not as competitive like Ferrari til rule changes?

I wonder what the answer is for most expensive (or important) crash in terms of impact on championships?
What for instance would have happened if Senna didn't crash (or even didn't die) in 1994?

You honestly think if there is only one update package available in Sochi it will go to Perez? It's the updates ear marked for Perez's car, they needn't need to tell the world that Stroll's car was better last time out. You can't honestly believe Perez will get the updates and Stroll not if only on...

I think it's clear max is a talent - but has had preferential treatment at team as well (not that it's been the main issue affecting his success I add)
Still - I'm less clear that max would perform in a midfield car - and not sure without preferential treatment he'd do as well as he has
