Re: 2020 British Grand Prix Race Thread

Rosberg was reprimanded for 'completing the race with a damaged car, thereby spreading debris on the track' though the stewards noted that he had slowed down. Interestingly, I'm unable to find any mention of a reprimand for Leclerc for doing pretty much the same during the 2019 Monaco GP when he pun...

Re: Is Mercedes unbeatable?

This year it seems that Mercedes have made another step forward whilst their main protagonists have either stood still or gone backwards. With this in mind I feel that the WCC is almost a foregone conclusion for this year and next - and, unless Bottas demonstrates more of a killer instinct - Hamilto...

I've been under the assumption that DAS would be kinder to the tyres, so would be quite the opposite of a contributory factor. Am I mistaken in this? A few points I thought a major benefit of DAS in racing conditions was warming tyres better at low speeds so quali warm up and restarts ...implying p...

Splitting hairs in this instance, but I'd hardly refer to a race-ending puncture as fading!

A nod towards Valtteri Bottas. Kept Hamilton honest pretty much through the duration of the race and only started to drop off towards the end, as that tyre started to give up. To have it go at turn 1 of all places is just the worst. He certainly seemed to go for it, win or bust. Just a couple of it...

Mercedes: Hamilton. Bottas kept him honest pretty much all weekend but wasn't able to beat him. Red Bull: Verstappen. I’m confused as to why you think Hamilton was lucky? His tyre blew! Hamilton's words on channel 4: "I was extremelly fortunate" I don't mean that he was lucky that he had a puncture. Pitting a lap later was actually the way to go. Verstappen didn't just overtake Stroll by doing that he gained about 11 seconds on him.
