Kimi Monza 2005, Lap time was good enough for pole, started 11th due to an engine penalty but had 50% more fuel on that anyone else (inc team mate Montoya)

Re: 2014 Rolex Australian Grand Prix Free Practice and Qualy

Im sat at turn 8 in melbourne! Im a bit disapoiinted in the cars sound altho im sure it will grow on me! You can definatly tell when a car is running less power just from the sound, they dont spool up as quick and the genral noise is really noticeable! In my opinion the ferrari engine sounds the bes...

Slightly of topic but there is an article in the new F1 racing mag and it says at the the time of writing the article Lotus dont have an engine deal for 2014 which i found amazing, i think from memory the article was written after the Abu Dhabi gp but dont quote me on that. I remember reading a few articles recently about the whole toyota situation, the first was an interview with Da Matta which was very insightfull and he didnt have a lot of time or praise for Mike Gascoyne who was the technical director from 2004 - mid 2006 and has a lot of interesting insights into ...

http://www.gptoday.com/full_story/view/473725/Lotus_requests_a_week_delay_of_first_2014_Formula_1_test_at_Jerez/ This confirms the news that they are running behind schedule on their 2014 project. Re: Ferrari testing 2014 engine in a LaFerrari?

Is this kind of testing allowed? Why not? It's only the engine and not the F1 car. How would manufacturers develop the new engine if they coudln't test it? I don't know, that's why I asked. The engine is still part of an F1 car, so are they prohibited against testing of complete F1 cars only? This ...

If you were going the track on a bike then its wouldn't be too bad to get to or get out of more to the point at the end of the day! The problem would be if you were in a car! It could never host F1 without better infrastructure! Silverstone can be bad enough at times and that has 8 Lanes of duel car...
