Re: Who's the king of tier two?

Webber goes missing far too much to be considered equal to the 2 world champions listed.

Webber is in the same league as Rosberg, Massa etc these days. Been around a while, can be superb on their day and anonymous for far too much time.

I've been to Silverstone, Spa, Melbourne and Hungary so far. Melbourne and Singapore for me this year. If anyone wants any advice about any of these GP's let me know.

Re: First time Grand Prix attendee: advice requested

Went to the Melbourne GP last year for the first time, agree with a lot of what has been said but a few amendments for me. I got there early on race day, on the turn 9 hill. It was scorching, ridiculously hot. Painful in fact. Anyway, I didn't need to have been there so early. When the race started ...

When red flag/safety car periods are so long that everyone follows the safety car for inters you know it's gone way too far.

I've loved having Jenson and Lewis at McLaren together. I don't like the Mercedes team and so obviously not a big fan of this!

Gearbox failure today which changes it from 24 to 52 is very unlucky. And very harsh. Now it's cancer v aids for the title for me :(

Re: Is driving for Ferrari really that special?

I think the magic of Ferrari fairy cakes is massively exaggerated. Alonso didn't care for them until he signed for them. Now they are his best chance of a third title so he's not going to say anything different. 1 title in 7 years is nothing too special.

He would never have been a champion, but he could have been a solid midfield driver. Unfortunately he was at the wrong team. His podium was lucky but he still needed pace o deliver it.

Fwiw I've been in the paddock just before the start of a practice session and Lewis was incredibly focused. Lenny Kravitz was with Nicole and they were completely separate. He was in the zone. Got some great photos too.

I love the sky coverage. Brundle and Kravitz are the 2 best F1 presenters/commentators whatever you want to call them and they're still both superb. I've been surprised by how much I have enjoyed Herbert being on there. I think he should be the main presenter. Lazenby is awkward and unfunny, wouldn'...

I think most people believe his change in results is more down to the accident or the way Alonso got into his head rather than the car?

You are Whitmarsh, who'd you replace Hamilton with?

Which drivers are you talking to now about driving for you next year? I think the first target would be Kimi Raikkonen. He's very fast and causes no trouble within the team. I could imagine him and Jenson working very well together - neither of them are likely to cause any friction. My next target w...

Just below the big 3. In a class of 1 really, much better than the chasing pack but his flaws mean he won't make it to the top 3.

Don't really like Silverstone as a track, don't really produce great races. For the race, I think Hamilton/Vettel/Webber/Grosjean/Raikkonen/Alonso/Maldonado all have the chance of the win maybe the Mercs too if it stays cold, although they prefer mechanical tracks such as Hungary/Monaco. Button/Hul...
