Re: Grosjean collision
Grosjean moved over to take the best line into the corner. As Stevens was being lapped, he needed to move/brake early to accommodate the passing driver, not the other way around.

Grosjean collision
I'm wondering if the penalty for Grosjean was a bit harsh... Shouldn't Stevens give a little more room to a top 10 car while being lapped? Also, why did Lotus put Grosjean on primes with 19 laps to go?

Re: What can be done about lift and coast...?
Since we're talking about fuel... Is anyone else thinking that maybe the reason JB retired was so he wouldn't end the race in extreme fuel-saving mode scrapping with the last Manor? The Honda engine seems to be really thirsty.

Re: How would you rate the 2015 Australian GP?
I chose 3/5. Never expected to see a lot of overtaking for this race. DRS should come into play more at the Tilke circuits. I didn't have a problem with eleven cars finishing, but having only 15 on the grid was sad. The ME-CSJ battle at the end had me on the edge of my seat! I kept thinking that the...

Re: Clean sweep at Sauber
OK, kind of confirms what I had been thinking. I had initially been impressed that Sutil started P9 in Austin, but then realized that he had been gifted at least two spots because of grid penalties.

Virtual Safety Car
I've got a couple of questions regarding the Virtual Safety Car. 1.) Will this system replace the actual deployment of a safety car or just serve to enforce slower speeds through a section where yellow flags are being waved? 2.) Was this system in effect at the USGP this year? I was watching a recor...

Clean sweep at Sauber
I was just looking at the 2015 driver lineups and saw that Sauber had two new drivers. I immediately realized that Esteban Gutierrez was out of a seat, but it took me a minute to even remember that Adrian Sutil had a drive last year. Thinking back, all I remember of either of them was being rather r...

Re: Forget the car unveiling.I want to see the 2015 power un
I would absolutely love to see: 1.) pics of the new power units and 2.) an informed discussion of the development potential of the new engines. There's been speculation about increases of 50-70 hp, but I've not seen any analysis of where this will come from. With the 100 kg/h fuel flow limit, the on...

Re: 2015 Cars 3 Seconds Faster
Three seconds sounds like quite a lot, even if there had been no changes in the technical regulations. Certainly there was lots of room for development after last year, but 2015 brings a new nose configuration and +11kg minimum weight. I didn't get a sense last year of how efficiently the drivers we...

Re: Congratulations to Marussia!
Kudos to Bianchi and Marussia! The question about which of the "minnows" will get first points seems to come up most years in the planetf1 preseason predictions. It would be interesting to look back and see who got it right...
