Re: PF1 Forum teammate wars vote: Miami 2024
Note that I did not watch the 'Sprint', and as such I will be basing everything anecdotal on the actual race. I consider it to be the far more important event, although with qualifying I'll give similar weight to both. Verstappen over Perez -- Respectable by Perez, or poor drive by Max's standards? ...

Re: Topical Trivia
As of today, Hamilton and Norris have completed the same number of races for McLaren - 110. I find that stat incredible. I still think of Norris as a relatively new driver having just progressed from the rookie era of his career....... Where as it seemed like Hamilton was at McLaren for a long time...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?
Again, the phrase was "as fast as RB" not "faster than RB". I think it's been shown that Ferrari was close enough to RB/Max in 11 or 12 of the first 13 races (exceptions being Imola and perhaps Miami) for that comment to be considered valid. Feel free to offer analysis or your reasoning for believi...

Norris and Hamilton for me. Qualifying wasn't great for either, but come race day they both delivered. Ocon doesn't get my vote because of how he and Gasly fought on the first few laps. What was up with how Ocon and Gasly fought? Ocon as usually did not give a quarter to his teammate. That often en...

Mercedes built the Zero Pod concept with full confidence the engineers had a full grasp as to the performance they could expect, but once the drivers went around the track in the car they immediately felt the car was lacking balance and they communicated this to the team, but the engineers assured ...

this race yesterday was a fine reminder that without the car Max cant win just like everyone in f1, and that he does mistakes too. Yes, Max makes mistakes, just like every other driver. You seem to be acknowledging that Max didn't have the best car this weekend, I think most that watched would agre...

Worse but still somewhat defeats what you said, in 2019 Mercedes had competition throughout the season, in 2022 Red Bull had little competition in the second half of the season. Red Bull 2022 had more and stronger competition than Mercedes 2019 at every stage. Ferrari were not a factor after TD039,...
