Good performances by female driver Chiara Battig. Battig was impressive in her one-off appearance in F1A, taking the only non-Palmowski pole of the season so far and finishing second in the feature. She seems to have been highly inconsistent in British F4 so far (from what I've seen glancing at res...

George was just treated like a wingman, again, despite being the lead driver in the race. At the very least they could have double stacked in the pits. There's no way one of the cars, but probably both, wouldn't get passed the McLaren's for the win. George was out of new tires but a gently used med...

Re: F1 Gossip/Rumour/Inside news Thread

The butchering of F1 racing is a daily business. It seems that they talk of reducing the length of the GP (maximum 305 km today*), even reducing the already shortened Monaco GP, and that the teams agreed. And that, because of the new "new PU" regulations. As some cars seem to have difficulties with...

Re: Verstappen, qualifying versus race pace, and the greats

For what it’s worth, while A>B>C comparisons are useful and interesting and did show Verstappen as the fastest driver on the grid at one point (they might still now, I’m not sure) there are far too many factors at play for them to be taken with much more than a pinch of salt. It all comes down to h...

Now we have a situation where Verstappen's qualifying hasn't been great and we have another Verstappen fan saying that race pace is the most important thing and Verstappen is unmatched, even though that can't really be measured, it's funny how all that works. I think you're referring to traumatic injuries in skiing and bike riding from accidents. Without such accidents, damage is minimal or at least manageable in both sports.
