Re: Vettel thinks normally aspirated engines are better.
http://planetf1.com/news/vettel-pleads-for-cheaper-power-units/ I agree. Normally aspirated engines are self-regulating in that you are limited by how much air you can suck into the engine, so you don't need a lot of rules for them. It also means that the engines will be relatively close in power, ...

Re: Vettel thinks normally aspirated engines are better.
They only had 1200hp for qualifying using special qualifying engines and only good for a few laps, for the race they had to be detuned to less than 1000hp for reliability. The heavy hybrid engine cars were able to lap 3 seconds quicker than the V8 engine cars in Australia, producing lap times not s...

^^^To be fair there isn't a lot of multi make chassis series. Maybe components like powertrain and aero on a base chassis, but different chassis, can't think of too many.

Re: Bottas Hamilton Accident - Who was at fault?
Bottas was primarily at fault but it was largely a racing incident. Rosberg hung Lewis out to dry there and when Hamilton finally was able to turn in, Bottas decided to try to stick his nose in. It was an overly optimistic move but I also think that Lewis just didn't see him and so he didn't really...

Re: Haas VF16
Toyota actually qualified better, but Haas would probably also have done better if they hadn't miscalculated the timing of their last Q1 lap. Toyota benefited from high attrition, but Grosjean also had some benefit of that in combination with benefiting from a safety car. Lastly, the fact Toyota ba...

I agree it should have been shelved, but I think the teams totally botched how they ran the sessions. They either didn't understand how to run it or they didn't care to run the qualifying the way it should have been run.

Re: New season, New Rules, Old Rosberg Argument!
I'm also saying No. Arguably Rosberg is the driver who seems to need more information than anyone else to optimise his performance. It may simply because that's the radio chatter the broadcasters are choosing to replay (seeing Merc are at the front) but the content of what Nico asks for doesn't sug...

Well, isn't it usually Rosberg who's asking for info? I'd like to think that Rosberg will take the fight to Hamilton, but I won't hold my breath. I think Rosberg will take the fight to Hamilton! As Hamilton astutely observes, "Rosberg has grown since last season". What I don't understand is how aca...

If Kimi doesn't have a good year I think he's gone..........but then again I thought that for a long time. I think the others are secure with the possible exception of Jenson. Definitely crunch time for Carlos, but I think he will perform well. It's more a matter of how well the car holds up because he's had some seriously bad luck last year. Also I expect the Renault powertrain to be much better than last year and this chassis should have built off of last years (which I...
