Re: Van der Garde vs Sauber

If they'll have to pay Sutil 15 million Euros as well, I see a bankruptcy in their future. Sadly for him, I think he didn't play the "game" quite as well as Giedo so he'll probably end up with quite a bit less. Sutil will be lucky to get half that. Is it confirmed that Sutil really is in the same s...

Re: Red Bull Threatens to quit F1

Actually, I think that the big F1 teams have been well over 600 for quite a while. If I remember correctly, Toyota was somewhere near 900, and Ferrari, Honda, & McLaren would not have been far behind. Very true and another thing to consider is how many people are directly or indirectly employed by ...

from sky sports f1 live blog Even if Sauber wanted to, it seems that attempts for van der Garde to get a superlicence for this weekend have run into problems with the process usually taking a number of days to complete. So 77 laps in essentially a half day. I gotta say that made me breathe a sigh of relief. Lets hope it stays that way. If the Merc engine is as powerful as it is looking like I can potentially see another great battle with McLaren this year. Hopefully their engine will put them ahead of Sauber, Maru...

I really can't see Renualt buying Force India after selling their team a few years ago. Maybe somebody like Dave Richards of (Prodrive) or Ross Brawn could buy Force India? No one is going to buy Force India with the amount of debt it has. Really? How much? They can't afford to pay for the chassis,...

Lewis was holding back, but failed to put his final lap together as he locked up and drifted off a few hundredths in the last bit. Rosberg was epic, and so fast - which was the pressure point for Lewis. Congrats to Nico on his Fastest Man in F1 2014 Trophy That's a great show today... Um that troph...

Just listening to Damon Hill and Johnny Herbert, on Sky, saying that this track doesn't reward the aggressive late braking style of Lewis Hamilton. "There's nothing to be gained from it.", they said. Firstly, it could've been worse had it not been a F1 car. Secondly, had it crashed into the barriers, it wouldn't have been bad at all. Good example, Sutil's crash. It was sheer bad luck that the the recovery vehicle was at the same spot, which weighs many tons & a F1 car is designed to break up in...

Imogen Poots is (AFIK) actually English... I often find that a movie with just one Brit accent has it sounding worse than if there's a few... I bought it on Blu Ray last week. The acting is decent and the plot is simple. It is the cars and the stunts that makes it such a fun movie (IMHO). Can't bel...

This could end up being the shortest race in F1 history. They seem to be having problems getting the Armco barrier off, and if they can't repair it then they can't continue with the race.
