Re: 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread

Max can't overtake Lewis on the pit exit, because he'd get a penalty for crossing the white line. He can't overtake into T1 because Lewis got the jump when he eventually accelerated. Out of the chicane, Lewis accelerates away, and then brakes once Max has committed to a line, ensuring he just has to...

Out of line by Lewis there. Last time something like this happened in Hungary there was a penalty for the driver who held - ironically - Lewis up and stopped the then-rookie from getting a final lap in. What's the difference here? Lewis was stopped in the pits and couldn't get away. There was absol...

Partly delayed updates. But Checo isn't an absolute top driver - and it's showing now that maybe Albon and Gasly are every bit as good as Checo. I can't buy that. I think the car takes a particularly adaptable driver to master. Checo has had to adapt a lot over the years. I realise the RB has more ...

Williams have said they no longer need pay drivers. Or, indeed, simply justifying not taking o...

I think introducing Monaco was the critical one this year. I do share a lot of the frustrations with FE that many others do. For one thing, the power overuse penalties. Interesting to read this as I didn't know there was so much going that was frustrating viewers and fans of the series. I hadn't got into it closely enough to pick up on all that. It is that simple really. If you think a driver with no championship to his name is going to teach a lesson to a F3 champion, F2 champion and 7x F1 champion, you are the one dreaming.
Verstappen has 13 titles to his name according to a quick skim of his Wikipedia page.
