Short answer, no. However. If the theory that Perez has been approached by Red Bull is true, it's a sensible backup option. Experience and marketability are important.

Ranking, and establishing the fastest driver of all time by a set of numbers who far outweigh anything the pit lane had a generation or 2 ago, while being unable to separate the car and driver from each other, is at best misguided and at worst...

It might have been a personal sponsorship thing, but far more likely it was down to comfort. Ferrari are one of those teams that can afford to shop around, and I dare say they discovered that while Schumacher found OMP the most comfortable to race in, Irvine and Barrichello were happiest with Sabelt...

If Ferrari starts an arms' race with big budgets in IndyCar, the grid numbers will tumble quickly. The economy of that series is rather fragile ... I think if that arms race were to happen, Roger would quickly bring in a cost cap on the engines (if there isn't one already?) to save the smaller team...

I just realised something. The aero rules, which are what are mostly being used to argue for a ban here, are extremely easy to get around. They only apply to the sprung part of the car. So if you do away with a moving suspension, you instantly have freedom to have moving aero parts wherever you want...

I think you are being too harsh on Grosjean as many seem to be. Magnussen really hasn't looked better if you look at the races carefully and factor in bad luck of both drivers. Just add Brazil for Grosjean without his issue and he likely will have finished 4th, which would tie him with magnussen in...
