Re: Silly Season 2020!
They're not just trying to decide between the two though, they're looking for a replacement for Lewis when/if he retires. Bottas certainly doesn't look like the guy who's going to win the title for the team. I don't know if Ocon is, I'm with most of you that Russell looks like the better prospect lo...

Re: 2019 PF1 TMW Predictions: 'Racing Point Force India'
It always surprises me how many people automatically jump to Stroll's defense when other people are saying Driver X is better than him. I really haven't seen anything that would suggest he's up to the level he's sometimes marketed to be. That being said, my reason for saying Perez by a landslide is ...

Re: What are the Best Season Performances Ever?
Surprised no one has put forward Vettel 2013. He was relentless in 2013. True. The second half of 2013 was the most dominant I have seen a single driver be since the 2004 Schumacher championship. Especially that Singapore race, where he was consistenly 2-2,5 seconds per lap faster than everyone else.

Re: Will Bottas Bounce Back in 2019??
Really? Verstappen and Ricciardo both overtook Bottas several times in 2018 and they weren't the only ones. All you have to do to realize which driver is better is look at the number of poles and wins comparative to Hamilton as his teammates. Rosberg 1,000x out of 100 for me. On Dutch TV Verstappen...

I'll try some different ones where I was very impressed with a certain driver:
Rubens Barrichello 1994
Heinz-Harald Frentzen 1999
Jenson Button 2004
Daniel Ricciardo 2014

I voted Gio as well. I'm not at all convinced on Raikkonen (and in extension Vettel etc). Raikkonen was destroyed by Alonso, Vettel was destroyed (mostly) by Ricciardo. Just like I think Leclerc will beat Vettel, Giovinazzi will beat Raikkonen. I always liked Giovinazzi in GP2 and thought he was a l...

F1 Metrics have their top 10 https://f1metrics.wordpress.com/2018/12/02/2018-f1metrics-end-of-season-report/ 1. Hamilton 2. Alonso 3. Leclerc 4. Verstappen 5. Pérez 6. Hulkenberg 7. Vettel 8. Ocon 9. Vandoorne 10. Sainz Interesting about this is that they have Bottas on 19, Raikkonen on 14 and Ricc...

I went with Albon. I think it will be close, mostly because of Kvyat's experience, but Albon ultimately has more talent.
Quite pleased with Albon's signing. Another year of Hartley would have been too much.

Re: 2019 PF1 TMW predictions: Williams
I voted Russell and he'll win by a landslide. Since Kubica has been gone for so long he's effectively a rookie again. Russell has been stellar, as impressive as Leclerc was last season, with an arguably stronger field. If Kubica was anywhere near as fast as some of his fans want him to be he would h...

I'll try to be a little less conservative: Red Bull (Honda) Merc/Ferrari (will be as close as this year) Force India (triple budget, best pound for pound team in the business for ages) Sauber (will continue to grow) Haas/Toro Rosso (solid midfield, both with a smart business model) Williams (will ge...

Totally agree.
The sooner we get rid of that event the better. It's unworthy of F1. Shame, because Brazil is a true racing country and we've seen some classic races on that track.

Isn't that Verstappen is immature thing getting a bit tiresome by now?
I never read that when we're talking about someone like Vettel, and he has easily as many incidents where he hits people. Not to mention people like Grosjean, Stroll, Magnussen, etc.
