Re: Verstappen should have been given blue flag to let Ocon
Verstappen made the mistake, simples, Ocon had every right to unlap himself. If after the overtake, Verstappen starts to catch Ocon, then Ocon would receive the Blue flag and would have to move over, however, this probably wouldn’t have happened as Max could manage the gap to Hamilton who was not ca...

Re: Haas VF16
Just read an article where Haas says that there are a lot of whiners in F1 complaining about the amount of parts that he has bought off the shelf, and that he missed the memo sent out saying that new teams should run around at the back for a few years, which I thought was brilliant. Have to say, I f...

Re: Sky Sports lands exclusive F1 television coverage in UK
Havin followed the sport since the late 70s I am disappointed that we have finally gone Pay TV for live coverage of my favourite sport. I agree fully with the main point that most make on here that real fans will not object to paying for their fix, which is why I paid the 10 pound extra for HD which...

Cant believe the news today that the ONLY live F1 races screened on UK TV from 2019 will be SKY TV. The odious little runt has been pushing this for years, and now we have it When i had SKY tv, i paid the extra £10/month for HD channels as the F1 channel was included. Hi again guys, as always a lively discussion on here which is one of the reasons I enjoy it, as there are many knowledgeable contributions to the subjects. Mercedes - Can Any driver be World Champion in this car
Not sure if this subject has been broached before, and before we start this is not a Hammy bashing, just curios if any one of say the top 10 drivers would be a shoe-in for WDC in this current Mercedes. Take Hammy out, and Rosberg would easily be World Champion, run a single car with Button in the ca...

Re: Back to the F1 future - Pt3 (Alonso-McLaren)
If they manage to get a combination of good engine + good chasis (they certainly can) then Alonso will do the rest. I have this feeling that he'll be back fighting for the championship by 2017. Just a hunch. He's got a tough teammate to deal with too though. He has been beating his tough team mate ...

Vettel, Verstappen and Alonso. Hulkenberg and Rosberg both drove very well until they made key errors. In fact it was probably heading towards Rosberg's best win until he ran wide. Really? Alonso? Just because you have an Alonso voodoo doll with a hundred pins in it doesn't mean Alonso didn't drive...

Being a Huge JB fan over the years, I admit I was concerned that FA would be too strong even allowing for JB's record with Hammy when the partnership was announced, and on a good day (admittedly not a lot of those this year with Honda), I feel that FA is slightly ahead. However, when people say that...

I think a lot of people share the same opinion on this poll. Those true F1 fans have grown up with the Monaco GP, and even though it is a complete boring race, which is inevitably all over after quali on Saturday, you have to say that it is a One Off, most of the big teams have a "Monaco Spec" car w...

Ok hat in ring time, not blind to his failings, but I am a big Button fan, and have followed him since he first signed for Williams back in 2000. I am a big JB fan. but fairs fair, credit to the young man, he drove a superb race. OK I will nail my colours to the flag and say that I have ALWAYS been a big Button fan, but am also aware of his short comings, ie unlike Alonso and Hamilton, he seems incapable of driving the wheels off of a car that he is not 100% comfortable with. Having said that, he is a WDC, has shown he can h...

Alot of posters here are commenting on the fact that JB may be similar to what they currently have with MW, although as a JB fan they overlook the fact that JB has that that WDC behind him, which MW never managed. First off I am a JB fan, and watched the test at Jerez with interest. As far as I know, obviously it is against FIA rules to do them, and secondly and more importantly, the teams and rubber makers prefer the drivers to bring the car back as it is so they can assess the tyre wear for future upgrades

Actually I don't think he forced Massa into a spin. Massa did it all by himself by taking that T13 kerb too aggressively and losing the rears. Did Mark pressure him to do that? Maybe. Did Mark force him into a definite spin? I don't think so. Actually, I think Massa spun because instead of being ab...

I can't understand how the teams accept this, the FIA increase the amount of points on offer, then couple of years later, increase the entry fee by these ridiculous amounts.
