Re: F1 grumbles
If I was a big football fan, I can't watch 50% of those matches live, for free. American football. Golf. Many, many other major sports are not readily available on free to air TV channels. Why should F1 be different? The F1 Tv viewing situation isn't that bad. Really, we should be more thankful tha...

Re: F1 grumbles
The TV viewing situation is dire - I can only watch 10 live races. The F1 finance situation is bonkers and stinks of greed greed greed. You can watch the races live on NowTV for £10 per race. You can afford that. To be fair, that's presumptuous. We don't know OPs financial situation. I know I can't...

Re: F1 grumbles
Sorry i should have been clearer in my rant. I'm not professing to be right or correct nor was I trying to impose an opinion. Merely penning my feelings of how i felt. I feel grumpy about F1, that is all. Nevertheless thanks for helping see things F1 more positively.

F1 grumbles
Been watching F1 for over 35 years and I am finally at the point of giving up. I'm not much of a poster but I can't help myself have a little grumble and you lot don't seem averse to a little whine from time to time so here goes: The TV viewing situation is dire - I can only watch 10 live races. The...

it is very cost effective, you answered this too. Amount of fun watching will be huge hence the TV rights Circuit right money will more than pay for it.

Formula Ferrari?
Here's an idea.... Formula Ferrari Ditch GP2 and replace with Formula Ferrari Run a field of last years Ferrari F1 cars during the GP weekend build up (as they currently do with GP2). Would be much more popular viewing than the insipid GP2 races. Yes a spec series but what driver (esp. a young drive...

Re: So who will Boullier pick?
Considering that Lotus do not have for 2014 an engine, any drivers, and no funding they are technically speaking not really an F1 team. Quantum was just a butchers cat exercise that dragged out to Brazil, doubt we'll hear another whisper from them as there are no more events to enjoy. Sad times but ...

Re: Why don't they show us what the stewards see?
Thanks for replies. I agree on the telemetry side, although some sanitised versions would still be interesting to the geekier fans like me. I guess I was under the impression they had access to far more on-board footage that I would also like to see too but perhaps it's all data based decisions. Jus...

Why don't they show us what the stewards see?
Not thinking of any particular incident here but often when they interview one of the antique drivers who undertake the official driver steward role they say 'we get to see much more than you do'. Presumably this is telemetry and footage.... Can't think what else they would have. Why don't they just...

Re: How Many Races Have You Been To?
None, not even had a holiday for 5 years....... Perhaps if the drivers gave the same % of their income to society as I do there would be a little more cash left in my pay packet to actually attend a GP. Some of you seem to have endless cash to attend all those GPs. I have watched every GP since 1993...

This sport is a joke, first they make it expensive to watch and then there is nothing to see.
Time for someone with a clue to run this show!

Re: Joe Saward's Blog
Been following F1 for 20 odd years and Joe's blog, notwithstanding GP+, is easily the best and most informed out there. Even autosport is just full of bland insipid team/FOM/FIA friendly stories.
Im surprised there seems such a negative feeling against his work.

BBC Red button app
TiVo on virgin media now has a BBC sport red button showing lots of F1 content.
Seems pretty good to me, hopefully some good features for the races too (ok only 10 of them).
