Re: Christian Horner Allegations Thread
I haven't posted for ages... Even trying to seduce subordinate can be very uncomfortable for subordinate. How do you handle such a pressure from boss? In many companies such a relationship between boss and employee are prohibited for a very good reason. This is why Bill Gates was remov.. left Micros...

Re: Abu Dhabi 2021 - How has it left you feeling?
I haven't seen many races in past 3 or 4 years, but since liberty media took over F1 I've got a feeling that too often entertainment is factor when some decisions are made. That "let then race" attitude is what brought us this controversy. It's not F1 that I used to watch. As for the race I'm kinda ...

Re: Mercedes Lodge Multiple Protests Against Result
Feels to me that an overarching discretion allowing the race director to ensure safety on track is being leveraged to allow disregard for rules and procedures as written in favour of what is good for the show . It doesn't sit well with me. That rule certainly wasn't written with entertainment in mi...

Re: Mercedes Lodge Multiple Protests Against Result
As was said in the main race thread. Merc may end up pulling out as a result. Rules not being applied consistently and the sports reputation. I can see merc leaving due to the sporting competition not being consistently applied properly. Toto might be a be furious, but that's it. Such a decisions a...

Re: Mercedes Lodge Multiple Protests Against Result
Absolutely not. There are rules and regulations for a reason. Masi played God. If him going is the only result from the protest then we all win. Ok so at this point what do you suggest as the solution to this screw-up? The race results decided based on order before safety car came in? That would be...

Merc should drop this protest for the good of the sport. Yes they were screwed today by a questionable decision but can’t take it away from Max like this. Absolutely not. I don't think Red Bull is going to win WDC this season anyway. He joined Renault to win WDC not to just score more podiums. It might take some time, but Renault has as much money as Red Bull. Ricciardo won 2 races last year, even race wins have no value? As for the money side, no the Renault F1 tea...

Ferrari improved when allison left. This is his first car at merc and looks like it has issues. No I don't think so. The most that could be said would be that Vettel may have had to overdrive the car if he felt it was missing that final bit of speed, but even so that's still down to the driver making the best of it. I don't think the car can be blamed for the mistakes that were made, even if ...

It looks like it's going to be Renault. They have everything to make it happen. Maybe not this year, but next year it should be quite possible. Of course history knows many examples of teams that failed to deliver.

Re: RIP Sauber name in F1
In this sense you have to give credit to BMW. It was their actual factory team, but they kept Sauber in the name during their years of the partnership. This is purely a marketing exercise for Alfa Romeo, to be Ferrari's Toro Rossi, yet they are scrapping the Sauber legacy in the process. I thought ...

Surprised to not see a thread on this, but it is the quiet season. With Sauber gone, it's the final of the 90s medium sized privateer teams to disappear from the grid. Although with 26 seasons in the sport, that means they lasted twice as long as the Jordan name did. Where exactly are they going? A...

It was Mattiacci who signed Vettel away from Red Bull, and he was the one who signed James Allison... I think it's debatable how good either of these moves were. Vettel isn't an upgrade on Alonso, and the car didn't really start moving forward dramatically until Allison had left - and since it's co...

Okay, I'll be the party pooper here. I hate the fact that Kimi is going to Sauber. On a grid with too few seats available as it is, there's no way a guy who's pushing 40 and way past his prime should be driving for one of these smaller teams that are basically the only opportunities for young drive...

Run offs.
You can put spectators inside the oval. Or around it just a bit further away on some pillars so there is plenty space for run offs.

Re: Ricciardo's future: Another Hamilton, or another Alonso?
Dan just had enough. He is bringing more points to the team and despite that he was going to get paycut while his teammate got lucrative contract. Renault is very serious about F1, I believe in 2 years it can challenge for wins on regular basis.
