Re: Protesters calling F1 to cancel 2012 Bahrain GP
People don't protest for nothing. Something isn't right there and F1 should make a stand. It's all well and good saying this, but does this mean F1 should have withdrawn from the UK after 1 million people marched against the Iraq War? That was the biggest protest in British post-WW2 history. Or, to...

Re: Is Alonso currently the best driver in F1?
At Turkey Ferrari struggled against the Mercs & Renaults. They weren't even close to 3rd fastest. They spent a large portion of 2010 behind McLaren and certainly behind Red Bull. People talk about luck & other drivers dropping points but that all balances out over the season. Did the other guys not...

Re: What would happen if Stoner and Lorenzo were in one team
It would be very interesting. Stoner is faster but he also makes more mistakes than lorenzo... I think will be ahead at the end of the season. By what rationale do you think that Stoner is the faster rider? Stoner has never riden on the same machinery as Lorenzo. I don't think that there's really m...

Well that was an exciting opening weekend! Marquez definitely looks to be the man to beat in Moto2. He really seemed to have things well under control and he knew that he could run away at the end when he needed to. There were a bunch of times when he sat up on the straits just to remain behind the ...

logically mclaren have the strongest car so it will probably be hamilton but... talent wise it should be Kimi or Vettel, they might have a shot at it if lotus and RBR keep developing strongly! This suggests that Kimi and Vettel have superior talent to Hamilton. I wonder how you came to that conclus...

Well it looks like Yamaha have a much more competitive bike this season. Jorge is going to be tough and Spies would have probably qualified closer to the front if he hadn't crashed. It was great to see Crutchlow qualify so impressively. He beat out Dovi. That's pretty special. Valentino is starting ...

As an F1 fan it was quite a powerful movie. No matter what you think of Senna as a man one thing the movie did show was what he meant to the Brazilian people. The results would suggest otherwise. He qualified far better than he finished this year that much is undeniable. If he altered his style to suit the Pirellis he hasn't done it successfully. Here's my 2 cents about Robert: He was clearly an above average driver in F1. Just how good he was is hard to tell. The one season where he had a car that was within striking distance of the podium, he really made the most of it. He won a race, set a pole position and I believe he had about 7 trips ...

I don't see any point in replacing Massa in the middle of the season to be honest. Who ever you put in the car won't be able to do any better than Felipe. If you want to find a long term replacement, you're better off signing them after the season is over and giving them an entire off-season to prep...

The best and most dominant individual season by a racing driver in F1 is Michael Schumacher's 2002 season. He won 11 races, made the podium in every single race and had some of the most amazing performance of his era (remember Spa?). It's tough to separate the driver from the car with these types of...

If I were him I would observe Perez throughout the rest of the season and, if he continues to perform at a high level, offer him the race seat for next year. Best case scenario: we have one extra race (in a season of many) on a rubbish track with a poor atmosphere. One poster nailed it when they pointed out that the drivers are the stars of F1. As such, the media looks to attribute things to them that they don't really deserve. Every driver plays a role in helping his engineers do their job but it's laughable how exaggerated that role can be in the media. Let'...

Ultimately, there's a lot to lose from pushing the car too hard these days. Drivers just generally have to be more reserved with the way they drive or risk damaging the tires. I would really love to see F1 just go nuts. I would love to see V12 engines, wide slick tires, etc. but this is where we are.

Danica is up there too. Obviously people don't like to acknowledge her as a serious racer but she was a top 5 performer in the Indy Car series at one point. She even took a pole position in NASCAR with minimal experience. She's good. She's not great but she's definitely good.
