Re: Hamilton and "taking the knee"
It's a shame to see Hamilton buying into the false narrative and the fact that he may take a knee and disgrace our flag on American soil is repulsive. By doing so he will join the small minority of idiotic, overpaid celebrity athletes who have no clue about what this flag represents and those who fou...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
First off I'm not a Hamilton fanboi by any means. As an objective racing fan I must say that Lewis is far and above the field this year. He may be out qualified from time to time but we all know that it really doesn't matter. He consistantly runs down Rosberg and overtakes him with realative ease. I...

Re: Indy 500 event updates
strange comment after watching the Monaco GP this morning.... where winning the pole is essentially winning the race. Other than Vettel's issue, the top 4 were as they qualified. I love the glamour of Monte Carlo, but as a race it is, in my opinion, well past it's use by date. On the other hand, th...

Re: So did we enjoy it?
I must admit at first practice I was extremely disappointed with the sound and the lack of fury. I felt a bit better during qualifying and I was very pleased with today's Gran Prix. The way young Magnussen handled his race was very impressive along with Ricardo (sans the DQ) and what a drive by Bott...

Re: Ferrari's new strategy
No doubt, the best strategy is the winning strategy. However, I've noticed people oftentimes think that the opposite is true and that's not always the case. In other words, did Ferrari win because they had the best strategy or did Ferrari have the best strategy because they won? In other other word...

Ferrari's new strategy
I agree with Will Buxton's comment about how Ferrari have taken this garfield footing tyre strategy, stomped on it,and thrown it out the window whilst on fire. If they continue like this then Fred will have a chance against RB and Lotus. Rather refreshing to see and certainly provides the ...

Vettel. Harder compound tyres for Spain, Barca is a track where the cars with best aero do best and that Red Bull can be touched in that area, Vettel is in the form of his career right now. Re: How much has Hamilton helped Mercedes?
I think I've got the answer to my question really! I think it's far too early for Hamilton to have made a difference to the car, and Mercedes probably would have made those gains anyway. I think Hamilton has, however, dragged the car a bit higher than it would have been in the hands of Rosberg/Schu...

Re: How much has Hamilton helped Mercedes?
Between him and the Old Lion I would say quite a lot. The pace shown by Lewis and last years pace from the Old Lion at certain times is encouraging. A few of the same issues remain such as tyre deg and mech failures. IMHO Lewis is helping to validate the hard work that Schumi put in to get that car ...

Alonso and Jens for me. Alonso- clean trip from third to the top step. It's easy to see that he has carried over the drive and determination from last year and now he has a very good car underneath him. Won't be easy though with Vettel always a threat as well as Kimi. Are you guys suggesting that a team would sabotage their own driver? Costing them WCC points and money. Solid strategy this one...
