Re: 2019 Mexican Grand Prix Race Thread

I don't think the penalty is too bad for verstappen. Before I think if the ferraris got a good start they would slipstream their way past verstappen along with hamilton. Now him and hamilton will get the slipstream allowing them a better chance st the ferraris

Re: 2019 Italian Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Threa

Hulk sainz and stroll were definitely to blame for that stupidity. Sainz and hulk basically blocked the track at curve grande and it took the ferraris trying to overtake for anyone to speed up. Nobody further back could do anything

With all the talk about tyres can we acknowledge that Leclerc did a great job of extending his tyre life. That Ferrari really suffers on tyres due to the low down force it generates compared to the Mercedes and we saw how quickly Vettels tyres went off on both the softs and the mediums. Leclerc keep...

I was half watching the race while working and just stopped when I saw the accident. It was horrendous seeing the impact and you could instantly tell it was bad. I hoped all involved were ok but as soon as they cancelled the race within 10 minutes of the red flag it was obviously bad news however I ...

What new tyres do ferrari have? Would soft medium medium work and put Ferrari on a fresher faster tyre at the end. Yesterday it looked like Ferrari were fastest on the medium.

Will be interesting what impact Leclerc starting on the medium tyres will have. If they are the race tyre and he can go long then it will pull him back into contention

I've said it before but I don't believe the Renault engine is as down on power in comparison to the Mercedes engine as they say, otherwise how could Ricciardo be able to be challenge Bottas into turn 1 after that long straight. Better speed through the final corner, thus starting the straight at a ...

Really enjoyed watching the drivers actually having to drive hard. Mercedes are clearly top dogs atm but I've got to say that red bull looked planted in the corners, could really help them in Malaysia in the long sweeping corners

Re: UPD: Ricciardo DSQ for breach of fuel flow limit, RB app

I'm a DBE find but it does sound like they are in the wrong. However I do agree with Horne. If there is a calibration level in the sensor that creates a margin for error then requiring that to be used in a race will mean one week your up and one week your down on power for no reason under the drive...

Looks to be a big challenge to the drivers next year, new cars their don't have experience off, engines with apparently 4 times the current torque, less downforce. Should help the great drivers really stand out through car control. Id expect if they all have good cars to see a great battle between V...

Heres hoping that with Perez leaving McLaren that if Lotus need the money they take him and his money rather than Maldonado cash leaving him without a drive. The way Maldonado has been acting is just like a spoiled 10 year old who cant take it when he doesn't get things his way. Yes he's probably no...

Re: Does F1 Advertising Work On You?

To an extend the advertising works with everybody whether they realise or not. The goal of advertising isn't initially to get you to buy a product. Its to make you aware of the product of the company and by having global advertising on an F1 car does that. And then the more you see it the greater yo...

Re: why is so much fuel being used in f1

Im pretty sure I read somewhere a couple of years ago that an F1 engine is infact very efficient and has lead to a number of efficiencies in road car fuel efficiency however due to the fact that the cars work on the limit so often, are pushed hard then they use a lot of fuel. This is particularly th...

Re: Time to end the myth of drivers ability to develop cars?

I think in the past 10 years the importance of a driver to improve a car has reduced as technology has improved. As little as 10 years ago i would say driver involvement was very important in helping engineers understand what a car was doing on the track, how it was acting and what the impacts of an...

Today was pretty exciting, yea Vettel drove off into the distance with a good performance but the battle for the rest of the points was brilliant, action all the way back through the field and the first stint before the pit stop was some of the best racing in a long time
