Re: Forum opinion on Max / Kimi overtake
Even as a Kimi fan I went for technically illegal/should not have received penalty. I choose this as the stewards seem to pick and choose when they implement the rule. I know Max gained an advantage but do you not gain in every situation like this. Even if he did not pass he would have gained time ...

Probably not the best...yet. But definitely the most exciting in my opinion. I'd also be confident he'd give Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel a fair run for their money in equal machinery now.

Nice to look at, but I dont think the person that produced them knows much about engineering, or what the current rules are or are likely to be by then. Does not detract from the aesthetic appeal of them though I agree. I wonder did anyone do anything similar 8 years ago and if they did how close w...

If the seat opens up I cant see them going for Verstappen (yet) more likely his team mate or someone like Sergio Perez.
I'd say things will remain the same for another year though.

I wouldn't be surprised if SM is drafting the contact for Alonso while he's saying that he's not interested in him. It just that way it is in sports, you deny until it is official. I'm not saying they are working on bringing back Fernando, just that I wouldn't surprised if they did. Exactly. Even i...

I agree with a heritage benefit but it should not be financial. It should be given in voting rights etc.

4 way WDC would be good, although I think it would be a mistake to write Red Bull off just yet. I still think Mercedes will be leading the way come Australia. Thinking about it, how much longer can F1 be at the cutting edge and road relevant? If cars are going to be more and more autonomous and electric less and less of F1 tech is going to be relevant. There has to come a point where F1 says no this isn't a showcase for the manufacturers it's a sport. Th...

Yes I think he would jump at the chance. At his stage in his career you would take proven over potential any day of the week. I'm sure he is sick of being sold potential every year with McLaren and Ferrari before that. Merc have done everything so well you cant imagine they would slip too far and at...

Re: Red Bull not allowed to fix Verstappen's clutch at Singa
I starting to change my opinion a bit. Look at it from the FIA's point of view. RB claim the clutch was faulty but could not show them any part was physically broke. Say the FIA take their word on good faith and let them work on the car. Other teams question this but the FIA cannot say for sure that...

You would imagine that safety suggests you want cars in prime condition for the start. A dodgy clutch means the car is compromised.
It seems stupid to me that the FIA would not let them fix the issue.

I would have thought that a sim would be good for learning the layout of the track. End of.
There is no sim I am aware of that could replicate the feel of the car on certain tyres on different days given different temps and conditions. So I believe Hamilton on his playstation theory.

For me it was the chemistry between the old presenters that made it work. Without that you are left with what we got tonight. The rallycross change to the star in a car was a good original idea, the only one unfortunately. The rest seemed to be a re run of previous segments with different presenters.

Let's look at facts. Ferrari was almost completely Italian through the 80s and 90s, then Jean Todt, Ross Brawn, Rory Byrne, Michael Schumacher turn up, and the work culture changes, and they win a lot. Then from 2007, the team becomes more and more Italian, and for many years the drivers were Latin...
