Re: Jv vs martin brundle. who do you back.
Brundle lost his all credibility during his first year at Sky in 2012. Suddenly, he changed a lot of his views by 180 degrees, just so he would be on F1's side. It's very rare nowadays to hear Brundle criticise ANYTHING in F1, and if there's something that he clearly seems to be angry about in F1 h...

Re: When was the safety car introduced?
There was one more time between 1973 Canada and 1993 Brazil with SC - Hungary 1992. After one of the accidents, marshalls showed "SC" signs to drivers and SC was about enter the track, when they abruptly cancelled it.

Re: 2007/2008 - A modern age dark period
While 2008 had some good races, 2007 was a snooze fest in most cases. China and Japan were the only interesting races. Both Brazil 2007 and 2008 would not be remembered at all today if they weren't the final rounds. Apart from problems for Hamilton in 07 and exciting two last laps in 08 there was ab...

Re: Webber has yet another "Mysterious" mechanical issue
Personally, what worries me far more is the safety of other competitors and spectators - if 15 seconds are not enough for a double check up, whether the wheels are firmly on, then someone in RBRs crew is not doing the job, he's supposed to do. Conspiracy theories aside, this could've ended up in a d...

Soon Tilke will have all spots on "10 worst F1 tracks of all time" list. The man is really determined to do that. Yet another pure-crap track after Valencia, Abu Dhabi (exciting races this year - yes, good tracks - no), India and Korea.

Re: Annual Korea rant
I quite like it. There was some great racing throughout the field. Agreed. Sure, it didn't have the fight for the win which some people desperately want, but that's not just what F1 is about. Seems when Vettel wins comfortably, people like to believe the race was processional because they hate him ...

Annual Korea rant
Okay, so two years ago we discovered that Tilke forgot to install drainage on the track, last year we've had a boring, processional race apart from Webber/Hamilton fight and now we had this one. This track is so awful, I can't believe that people always keep defending it. It's in the middle of nowhe...

Re: Mansell in car number 2 in 1994
The OP got me thinking though - I remember (vaguely) that the reason Mansell was brought back in was to please Renault and sponsors in general (to have a WDC on the grid after Senna's death), however wouldn't have it been a bit more logical to have offered Prost the seat? Or was it offered and turn...

4th first lap incident this year for him. Not a shocker, he had it coming like Hakkinen had it in 1994. Good decision in my opinion, hopefully he will learn a lot from it.

Dangerous wheels coming off
Did anyone else notice that we had today two crashes where the rear wheel came off the car? In 1st corner mayhem and Karthikeyan's crash we had wheels flying dangerously close to drivers. If there's anything to be really investigated after this race, it's those wheels - especially the one that came ...

Why the hell everyone keeps mixing Maldonado in this crash? Even if he made a jump start, deal with it - he had nothing to do with the crash. Moreover he got tagged by Perez which ended in him spinning out few laps later.

Kobayashi has a great chance of winning. He was 5kph clear in 1st sector speed trap, where it matters the most. If he gets Button on the first lap, then he'll probably win.

About GP3 crash - it wouldn't happen if there was damn gravel trap. I keep saying how unsafe tarmac runoffs are, but most of people don't take it seriously.

Re: Are F1 tracks going overboard with safety?
It's not that much safer at all and it will actually lead to the first dead in years imo. If Silverstone had tarmac instead of the gravel, Schumacher would've died for sure in 1999. They forget that when breaks fail, Tarmac is so much more dangerous than gravel. Just have 2 meters of gravel between...

Button and Vettel not pitting with 10 laps to go
Probably the most bizarre thing I've seen this year. We saw in Canada that pitting with 10 laps to go when you are very close to the leader and on same, oldish tyres, is clearly the way to go. While I understand that Button had a shadow of chance with 10 laps to go, there is no way RBR didn't see th...
