Grosjean - Battery fire?
Not seeing this much in the news, but the driver sits on a huge battery pack. Everyone is suggesting that it is the fuel that kept the inferno going, but what about that battery pack? Could it have added fuel to the fire? Or could it have ruptured and caused the start of a chemical fire (well petrol...

Re: Sebastian Vettel to leave Ferrari at end of season
It has become increasingly clear that Ferrari is incapable of putting together a winning car . Charles won 2 races last year and that is held up as the brilliant standard for Ferrari. I have no regrets about Seb leaving the Italian team behind. McLaren is due for a rise, I hope he pops over there i...

Sadly I agree, ultimately I think peoples' individual self-interest always wins out and that is why so little has been achieved even though the consequences have been well known for decades. As an example of this, the BBC ran an eye-opening article a few weeks ago about the rising use of sulphur he...

I’m not sure why we’re having an argument about 12V trailer cables, they aren’t in any way relevant to EV. EVs have all sort of insulation and safety devices to prevent the inhabitants from being electrocuted. Batteries aren’t perfect but they are developing rapidly and will eventually become the m...

Battery technology is improving rapidly, I agree that batteries may well have a significant effect on the environment however, the biggest issue at the moment is greenhouse gases and global warming. Electric vehicles will help in this respect , as if to prove a point this weekend Grand Prix in Sing...

Hamilton: "I forced him into error". What a joke. This is exactly what happened!!! I don't believe that at all. I think Vettel was just trying to go quickly anyway and the lapped drivers he was catching up with just resulted in an unexpected lack of downforce. I think he just got caught out by that...

Kimi win tomorrow would be pretty special. Will be interesting to see if Ferrari use team orders given they didn't give Vettel the tow today. If & whenever Stroll goes to Force India, Williams could employ either Nikita Mazepin or Artem Markelov, both which have wealthy fathers & wouldn't mind investing in the team. So it leaves Kubica out in the cold as sponsorship is a bigger priority than experience at Williams. http://www.grandprix.c...

I did not expect anything less than Ferrari wanting to keep Kimi's services for next season at the very least. Kimi and Vettel made that car quick this season. Where is he ranked then? Probably in the middle third 8-15 based on current ability. Hence him being average among his peers. I think a drive through would have been better. There is some thought that it may be called as a first lap incident, but as it wasn't mid pack I think a penalty was fair. There's no perfect scenario here, especially when the guy that caused the incident finishes in front of the guy he punted off . ...
