Re: Conclusions from FP1

If anything can be read it will be: Broken nose might not be that good idea, at least not on the track like Melbourn. RBR looks like hiding something, as usual. Ferrari is not a top car. About a second down. Mercedes looks competitive. Nice surprises: Ricciardo, Maldonado, Kobayashi. A bit of let do...

It's interesting how senses run differently lap by lap... first it was, "woah, Kobayashi might challenge for a title", than, "woah, Rosebrg is so fast, Mercedes will dominate", than "woah, it's going to be a year of Schumacher's comeback"...

Re: Which song would you attribute to an F1 driver?

A few words on the Tema de Vitoria - I do not claim that the song was written with Senna in mind, who even didn't drive F1 yet at the time (1981) when it was composed, or even when it's first used, in 1983. Yes, if the video bellow is accurate and not edited, wikipedia is wrong on the subject that i...

I might be wrong, but to me it seems as if Prost was being a big baby. I know some team mates don't work well together (Hamilton and Alonso for instance), but that doesn't mean that he should have to have a clause in his contract that means they can't work together. I mean, they have such amazing o...

List of F1 drivers piloting airplanes or helicopters

Can we put a list of drivers that had/have piloting license? I came so far with several names, making a rather short list: Jack Brabham, Graham Hill, Niki Lauda, Gilles Villeneuve (H), Thierry Boutsen, Alessandro Naninni (H), Mark Webber. Whom can yo add to the list? * - "H" mark stand for helicopte...

All dilemma about Vettel-Webber comparison was done for me when BBC showed side by side their qualifying laps in Turkey, last year. As far as I remember watching it, in some cases Webber was breaking earlier, he used less throttle in other cases and had a bit of a different line. Te differences were...
