I believe it's a racing incident in bad weather conditions that mostly costed us a better title challenge, everything is playing in Mercs hands now

Re: Order future prospects - who will be the best (and worst
Verstappen will go onto be an absolute star. Ocon, Vandoorne, Leclerc, Wehrlein could go on to be top draw but need to be given the chances to show it. Looks like Wehrlein won't get that chance sadly. Magnussen I think he is showing what he is. A lower midfield driver. Probably a shade down on Gros...

Re: So is that that for the title battle?
As soon as FIA stopped the oil burning in Ferrari and couldn't in Merc it was game over.
Both titles are destined to a Merc driver, just as the last 3 years before.

Now that it has been established, (as a FACT as som like to spell it), that FIA wont be able to have Mercedes follow regulations and therefore have an advantage in qualifying and one lap speed it's quite an uninteresting question for 2017, let's hope that 2018 will be more even in how they follow r...

Considering the fact that it has been well established that both of them are NOT as fast as Alonso (seei...

McLaren had vastly superior drivers with a mildly inferior car . The drivers were good enough to make up for the car. That's really all there is to it. It's not that Massa and Raikkonen were significantly better than they are now relative to Hamilton and Alonso and it's not that Alonso and Hamilton...

So much depends on the car, how you can depend on it's grip and how easy it is to setup and drive, some drivers spend their whole career in low or midfield cars and have to adjust to being handicapped and some spend whole careers in top shelf cars. - The McLaren of 2007 and 2008 where easily the best car to have, even voted car of the year both years and based on both McLaren and Ferrari data : )
- Red Bull where never as dominant as Mercedes has been, and with fever dirty tricks
- Ferrari is what every driver should want to drive for

Ricciardo for me.
Vettel and Hamilton did what they had to do, Vettel had no chance of overtaking that Mercedes, it only looked close by Lewis mistake on the settings, after he got it right he had power advantage whenever he wanted.

IMO Alonso came out of 2007 with same points as the #1 driver, not bad at all, but he mainly had himself to blame, perhaps in the future we will know what promises Ron gave him and what happened behind curtains. Vettel in 2014 had won 4 straight titles with the current regs, and has been said before...

He was faster than Bottas until he got held up by Kimi who himself was held up by Vettel and fell into the 1.2-1.5 second dirty air. When Hamilton joined that train, the pace picked up significantly. I reckon that Lewis knew in his heart of hearts that he was never going to get past Kimi without an error from him. Personally, I think that he wanted to show the team, and his team mate how much faster he was - pure and simple (and he was a lot faster). He did the right thing and gave the place ba...
