Fantasy F1...

Hi all

So with testing over, it looks like this year will be predictable. Right?

Mercedes and Ferrari will start strongly, Red Bull will catch up fast.
The mid-field will be bunched together like sardines.
Sauber and McLaren (Honda) have a lot of work to do.

No-one will be able to pass, so quali will be all important.

But it was just testing and it all meant nothing... :-P

A friend (of a friend) has set up a fun Fantasy F1 site so you can all prove how right you are.

Have fun!

I'll give it a look, although I'm already entered in so many F1 competitions I can't keep them straight as it is!

If you like this sort of thing, you might want to check out the forum games we host here on PF1 in the games section. Here are the most prominent ones:

Top Three Championship (predict the podium, featuring 'constructor' teams)
Pick 10 Competition (predict the entire top 10 - the largest and oldest PF1 game)

In addition, there are several newer games in the Forum Games section that offer a variety of competitive experiences to enhance your race experience.

(Sorry for the shameless promotion, but the Top Three championship in particular needs more entrants this year! ;))

I miss the Fantasy F1 game that Autosport used to do but haven't for the last couple of seasons. I never did that well but I entered as the prizes they offered were good, there does not seem to be any equivalent alternatives that I can find. The first season Sky started showing F1 I emailed to ask if they had a Fantasy F1 game planned and they replied and said no, it would work well alongside their Fanasy Football competition I would have thought.

Alright, I've signed myself up. Do you suppose we're going to get enough PF1 members for a forum league?

Maybe just you and me but I'll give it a go...

Code for the PF1ers league: 4B3D069

It took me less than 4 minutes to join and pick my team. £50M to spend on 2 drivers, an engine and a chassis.

55th in the overall standings... my investment in Ferrari and Vettel was looking like a bargain early on, but as the season went on it became more and more an albatross around my neck.

I ran Vettel, Ocon, Ferrari (chassis), Sauber (engine) for most of the season. Think I started with Ricciardo and changed after a couple of rounds though. I probably should have swapped Vettel out after the summer break to be honest.
