I'm currently watching Person Of Interest. Brilliant crime/drama show. Fantastically written and great acting, especially by Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel.

Waiting for the new seasons of Mad Men, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad.

But my favourite of all time is definitely Lost. Nothing even comes close for me.

Recently started watching ER from the beginning. And Game of Thrones but I'm trying to stay ahead by reading the books before watching the series. My degree is certainly taking a hitting.

Just started to watch "Vikings". The pilot aired a few days ago and it looks really interesting. It has a Game of Thrones kind of atmosphere.

I've been rewatching House since I finally picked up the final season cheap on DVD.

Enjoying it, as you migth expect since I've seen them all before and enjoyed them that time. However, the show went on too long. I think they should have ended it at the end of 5 or the middle of 7. The ending to the whole thing was cool but as soon as you think about it it becomes total BS.

Also been watching a lto fo stuff on Discovery channel lately. It's all series of shows rather than one offs but there is one on tonight about a former mafia guy interviewing people in gangs, I think it looks very interesting.

there are many great episodes, but one of my personal favs is the double episode at the beginning of season 6

i won't say what it is, incase someone wants to watch the previous seasons (the location might spoil a couple of things) but that was an amazing double parter! Also end of season 4 (the finale) was a truly superb episode!

For my money, the two parter in Season 2 - Euphoria was one of the finest moments.

The House's Head/Wilson's Heart episodes were also brilliant - these form the pseudo two parter at the end of the short 4th season (Writer Guild Strike that year).

The end of 5 I thought was brilliant, and moving into the two parter opener for S6 was excellent. I must say, I thought it was truly brilliant. by removing itself completely from the medical aspect for that length worked very well. The whole thing was like a pretty good movie, though I guess you need to have watched House before to really get it so it doesn't work as a standalone.

The end of 6 was okay.

Love House, only started watching it because of the pilot being for free like 3 years ago in the iTunes 12 days of Christmas. Started watching season 1 the same year and rattled off all 8 seasons in the space of 4 months. (Had too much spare time back then ha.) Decided to re-watch season 7 and 8 at the end of last year and was well worth the re-visit. I just love the whole Wilson and House relationship and his relationship with Cuddy. Excellent show.

Just seen a programme on Dave called Lizard Lick Towing this morning. Basically it's a bunch of repo men from North Carolina who drive around collecting vehicles from some of the most redneck, white-trash, hillbillies you've ever seen in your life. It's supposedly a documentary I think but most of the sceens are blatantly a set up.

One of those programmes which is utterly dreadful but you can't help but laugh and enjoy parts of it. Like a really cheesy, low budget zombie horror movie.

I loved dog the bounty hunter, it was so over the top for so little they actually did

I remember one episode, they went looking for someone who had supposedly skipped bail, but the guy was already being questioned outside by cops. They went running and shouting towards him and slammed him against the car bonnet, bear mace a blazin', with the cops looking at them like WTF! Comical!

I stopped watching TV a while back because every second program was blody gardening.
Now every other program is cooking. These progs are bad enough by themselevs but the worst part is the one in between them is Got no talent / F Factor / cant sing but make money from phone-ins even thought the winner is already decided because it is the one some pickle will make most from

A Storm of Swords premiered last night (Game of Thrones series 3). Good, as always but there are some things I found a little odd (compared to the book at least)

Watching Birds of Prey, a short lived TV series from a few years ago. Covers the basics of the comics, with substantial alterations.

Worst of all, I think it was filmed on a budget of about £10. It just looks very, very cheap and nasty. Other problems, Black Canary is way too young. Black Canary has mind-reading powers (don't remember that from the comics). Harley Quinn is just Harley Quinn even before she has outed herself rather than being Harleen Quinzel. Also, Harley is supposed to be hot in a creepy jester kind of way, this chick doesn't fit the bill. It does have Din Meyers as Oracle though, and Dina has been a favourite of mine since Starship Troopers (not just because she's topless in it, I also really like that film.)

I've read the first two and am on the third. Much like the series I found it a bit hard to get through the parts I wasn't interested in but it's worth it for the sections you love (Jon Snow and Tyrion for me). I think I've been a bit disappointed by both but that's more because of the hype around them, they don't quite live up to it for me. But obviously they're very popular so think a lot of people would disagree with me.
I'd say definitely try the first one though and if you like the writing style you'll enjoy it cause you obviously already like the story!

I've just finished watching the first 2 seasons of the walking dead and have say that its absolutely amazing! I'm not a comic reader so didn't know the story or characters beforehand, its the same old plot that you find in any survival/zombie book or film but the characters are really well written and it's so compelling that I watched all 19 episodes in 3 days.

Also been watching bluestone 42 on BBC3 which is a really good comedy. For those who haven't heard about it, it follows a bomb disposal squad in Afghanistan and does a good job of making light a difficult subject whilst being believable at the same time. And again every character from the base CO to the privates are really well written and played.

Absolutely. You should bear in mind though that the story arcs of the tv show are starting to diverge from the books though, so when you read them, things appear to be different, like Dany and Jorah's relationship, Brienne and Jamie's relationship, Jamie Lannister in general for starters.

How I met your Mother is about to go into it's last season. I think I might actually be sad about that. I absolutely adore that show and in my book it is now ahead of Friends and even Frasier in my all time sitcoms. Big Bang seems to be more popular in the UK than HIMYM but I'd definitely rather watch HIMYM if I had to choose one.

I like Big Bang but HIMYM every time. Agree with you there.
Just about to give Broadchurch a go... I've heard very good things!

Broad church is VERY good... Though I think I could have been better as a 6 part show, not an 8, felt it dragged a bit in the middle.

There's also the fact I know one of the fish and chip huts by the harbour does a VERY good cheesy chips... LOL

The third book is split into two volumes, of which the current series deals with the first of. Season 4 is the second volume of the third book, and the fourth (which takes place chronologically at the same time as the 3rd book, but in different places). Since the book is so long, a lot of the storylines that flesh it out seem like filler when brought to tv.
If it's any consolation, a lot of the setting the scene has been done this season, and from now onwards it should get more dramatic. It's about this time in the books a lot of how you are made to feel about the characters is flipped on its head, especially in terms of the Lannisters and Starks (who have been pretty much the bad and good guys).
Judging by the episode titles as well, s03e05 (Kissed by Fire) should be a good one. The title hints at two things (spoilers):

The final two episodes should be properly back to its best because the producers have confirmed that some of the shocking bits of the 3rd book will be featured before the end (including bits that are not necessarily in the first part of that book) including (spoilers):

Also there are some fun looking pilots on Amazon VOD at the moment. Onion News Empire, which if you've ever read the Onion, looks just as awesome as the website. The trailer shows an Elliott Carveresque news agency that is creating the news in order to report it. The first thing they do is kidnap a kid, and then start moaning because she's too fat and not cute enough to get hits because the public 'only care about cute kids who go missing'.

Oh and Zombieland: The Series. Could be epic, could be awful.

edit: Just watched the pilot for Zombieland. Stays faithful to the film, so if you liked that, you should like the series. New cast, who aren't any worse than the original, except Tallahassee, who has been made smarter and less OTT in the series. No Jesse Eisenberg playing Jesse Eisenberg is a relief, and Emma Stone's replacement does the moody hot woman thing just as well.
