I do not think that that what holds Trump from impeachment is the Republicans having control over both Houses. But Trump being more popular among the Republican base than the Republicans in the Congress are. That is why Trump is keen on to keep pleasing that base by hook or by crook and keeps on with campaigning as if the elections are not over. His base is holding him in the WH, not the Republicans in the Congress. That is why the term "Swamp" is still being very much in use by Trump's surrogates, practically becoming a synonym for the Congress and the establishment in Washington. Those Republicans in Congress care first and foremost for their own re-election, and they will not do anything so long so Trump keeps his base. That is why one of Trump's earlier supporters, senator Bob Corker, can speak freely now his mind about Trump and go stating publicly how Trump is incapable and dangerous to the world peace, on the path to cause the WW3 - Corker is not running for re-election, that monkey is not sitting on his shoulder anymore.

That's kind of the point, it's not negative news I'm seeing over here in the UK. It's that the media is doing its absolute best to find negative news but can't, so they're reporting anything they can and are doing their best to spin it somehow to be negative. Which normally doesn't work and it just looks like they're clutching at straws!

On the flip side of that though, when I see right leaning media like Fox trying to report something pro-Trump, they do like to discuss what he's doing but not show elongated footage of him, but more his critics.

It does still baffle me a bit that news in the US is so one sided either way. There doesn't seem to be anywhere reporting just news in an unbiased way. Admittedly the BBC is getting worse in the UK for this, but at least their actual news seems to be mainly unbiased still, even if other aspects of the company aren't.

Pro-Trump or anti-Trump, it all has turned into one huge reality TV show circus. And Trump is the spider in the center of that net, the Clown in Chief.
It has been entertaining that far, but let's see how it will end. I am kind of worried that this sociopathic megalomaniac narcissist won't go out (or down) quietly, but with a big ka-booom.. some kind of... somewhere... he got to do it, push those "red" buttons...

What I don't understand is why he needs to pick fights within his own management team and his own party. It has already resulted in him failing to repeal Obamacare which given his election promises is a failure. He is now picking fights with 2 other key republicans which threaten his tax reforms.

Won't the electorate judge him on what he achieves? It just seems he wants to win ego challenges all the time, which can't be good when dealing with North Korea and Iran.

Challenging a fellow politician to an IQ test is just the sort of thing you do in the school playground!

Now, now that's not just any fellow politician, but his Secretary of State who, as the media reported, called him a moron...

Constantly picking fights with everybody, is apparently his way of self-confirmation. He is in an obsessive need for opponents and enemies that to "win" over all the time. That's probably one of the lowest levels of defining one's own self. And that's what the US got for their president.

His support for Roy Moore isn't doing him any favors in regards to with working with congress.
