Ductless brake ducts

For years, decades, I've seen F1 go from simply taping off brake ducts if it's too cool or wet, to having four or five specialized ducts for different circuits, to having different ducts for almost every circuit.

The reasoning is simple, the brake duct is a big air-scoop right where you don't want a big air-scoop, so let's make them as small as possible, or at least only as large as necessary. ;)

So Williams comes up with a keen blade/duct/tire system, and Sauber seem right in on the game, though Sauber added a tiny scoop for Melbourne.

All the Mugello testing and "importance" seemed to be at the rear, the exhausts, the DDRS or lack of it, all the photos of theMugello test seem to focus on the rear of the cars.

I think Williams and Sauber have come up the mid-pack with these ductless brake ducts.

Who bets with me that we see these slim ducts on all the top teams come Barcelona?
