One of my favourite Ferrari(s). I like these air intakes (to be compared with the huge ones from few years back). The start with Hunt doing a Hunt, Peterson in the 6 wheel Tyrrell, and Andretti who won the race.

Yes Harpo, that 312 T2 is probably the most easily recognizable classic Ferrari F1 car. BTW, on the picture, Andretti looks toward Reutemann who missed a braking point (not seen on the picture), while Hunt had nowhere to go, and Watson in Brabham just steered into him. Scheckter in Wolf already went away ahead of Lauda, and by the close of the race had to give up on victory due to slow puncture and ended third.
But if you ask me any of the races in last 5-6 years, I won't be able to tell you much details, if any.

10 - Voisin C6 Laboratoire... 1923 ! One of my favourites when it comes to design. It took more than 15 years after WW II to get racing cars as advanced as some of pre-war racing thingamajigs. Here monocoque chassis, rational display and easy access to any mechanical device, aerodynamic shape and wheels... They even flattened the top of the steering wheel... tens of years before current geniuses thought of doing it (see second photo). Voisin started building planes and we can see it.

For the ones interested, see Voisin C6 on the web site revivaler.com (it seems it's the same team as Silodrome, and same quality)

Another, and more recent "C something". Sauber C22 - HH Frentzen - 2003
And the "Where is John Surtees" of the day... Not in the car number 10, that's Graham Hill in his BRM. With Clark (Lotus-Climax), Ginther (Honda), Surtees (Ferrari number 2), Gurney (Brabham-Climax) and Spence (Lotus-Climax) - Dutch GP 1965

Now that Harpo is a very reasonable & valid question to which, considering my post, the answer should be more than evident.
I shall re-post in 24hrs with much greater success.

I'm sorry people and this is probably old news by now but hasn't this countdown been stuffed up somewhere?
My calcs say going by the countdown that the race is on Saturday.
8 days Friday, 7 days Saturday, 6 days Sunday, 5 days Monday, 4 days Tuesday, 3 days Wednesday, 2 days Thursday, 1 day Friday, Saturday race day.
I know there was a bit of commotion around R minus 23. Is that where it went wrong or did we get out of the gates a day early at the start?

Ah, you're forgetting that we have 0 for the final day before the race, my friend - Damon Hill and Alain Prost need their exposure!
Think of it as counting the days remaining
between today and race day, and you'll be fine.

Yeah I thought of that Exed but if a doc told me on a Friday that I had 1 day to live, i'd fully be expecting to be finishing Saturday lying in a pine box & i'd certainly not be making plans for breakfast on Sunday, but anyway, enough of the technicalities, just less than 10 sleeps to go till the lights go greeeennnnnnnn.
